Utku received his B.Sc. degree in 2013 and M.Sc. degree in 2015 in Molecular Biology and Genetics, from İzmir Institute of Technology, İzmir, Turkey. During his M.Sc., he studied micro environmental control and biophysics of cell adhesion and migration in breast cancer with the help of surface nano patterning and microfluidics. In September 2015, he joined Esendağlı lab for Ph.D. studies. His current research topics involve the immunologic effects of ischemia-reperfusion injury on experimental breast cancer model and characterization of novel biomarkers for myeloid-derived suppressor cells (MDSCs).
